Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Dough:
1 package (about 13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
For the Topping:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Optional: marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into circles (about 6 inches in diameter) using a pizza cutter or a round cutter.
Assemble the Calzones:
Place a generous amount of the chicken Alfredo filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a border around the edge. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Prepare for Air Frying:
Brush the tops of the calzones with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning for added flavor.
