Amazing Forgotten Chicken

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups water or chicken broth
1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Evenly spread the uncooked rice over the bottom of the dish.
Mix the Soups: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water (or broth) until well combined.
Add Seasoning: Stir in the garlic powder and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the rice in the baking dish.
